Mornington Crescent players beware! The latest edition of "Mornington
Crescent Journal" has published some conclusions about the possibility of a
connection between Mornington Crescent and mental illness. The information
is based on studies from psychiatric research, using Mornington Crescent
pioneer Minski as a case study. Full details are available here in the
column "Your Mornington Crescent Questions Answered":

If the studies are true, and a definite relationship between Mornington
Crescent and psychosis is proven, this could well mark the end of Mornington
Crescent as we know it, with the UN World Health Organization already making
plans to ban Mornington Crescent internationally as a potential health
hazard.

The game has faced calls for it to be banned before, and survived. There
was the 1906 ginseng tea scandal, and I'm aware of at least one other health
scare that was hushed up in the 50's.

Wasn't there also some scandal involving the British prime minister,
some time in the late nineteenth century? Something to do with what
happened to his pet budgies after games? I've been told that there was
talk of an international ban after the papers got hold of that.
